The RBEW14A is a cable unwinding machine designed to facilitate the automatic cable feeding process in production lines. It is engineered to support heavy loads, reduce downtime, and ensure controlled and uniform feeding, especially during the initial processing stages (before cutting, stripping, or crimping).
General features and functions
The RBEW14A acts as an intermediate feeding station.
Its purpose is to maintain stable tension, prevent unwanted twisting, avoid cable slipping, and synchronize the output with the line speed.
The basic structure is made of high-strength steel, providing rigidity and stability to the frame. The machine uses a three-phase motor coupled with a gearbox, along with an inverter / speed control system that allows the unwinding speed to be adjusted according to line demand. Tension adjustment is carried out by means of a mechanical system, allowing fine control of cable tension during extraction.
Operating process
1) Reel loading
The cable reel is placed on the machine’s central shaft, within the specified diameter range (350 - 800 mm). The system is designed to accommodate large reels and widths up to the specified size. The RBEW14A model, in particular, supports reels with a width of up to 680 mm.
2) Start-up and adjustments
Once started, the machine sets the basic unwinding speed through the inverter/motor. The operator can adjust cable tension and cable end-stop settings to prevent the cable from being either excessively tight or too loose. The counterweight or tensioning mechanisms help maintain constant unwinding.
3) Cable movement
The machine pulls the cable from the reel in a smooth and regular way. The motor + gearbox system provides controlled force, while sensors can detect speed variations or anomalies. If line demand increases, the system adjusts the extraction speed; if it decreases, it slows down or keeps the cable in standby mode, preventing breakage or unwanted pulling.
4) Stop
When the reel is empty, sensors or limit switches detect the event and the machine can stop automatically or switch to another reel. If anomalies occur (cable blockage, over-tension, etc.), the system automatically interrupts the operation to prevent damage.
