Wholesale sale of connection cables
The wholesale of connecting cables is one of the sectors in which our company Errebishop, is highly specialised: in addition to being direct producers of connecting cables, we also deal with sales and distribution.
Our Connecting Cables are ideal for both general and specific wiring and all our items are manufactured in full compliance with safety standards, depending on their intended use.
For more than twenty years we have been successfully creating and designing standard or customised connecting cables and designing wiring diagrams to meet all customer requirements.
Thanks to our experience, we are a leading company in the sector and have the production capacity of 2 entire factories: this is why, today, we are one of the most important points of reference for the sale of wholesale Connecting Cables and wiring accessories in general.
What are connecting cables?
Connecting Cables are conductor cables that connect two points by facilitating the passage of electricity, data and signals. The set of connections made with cables within a device, electrical infrastructure or plant is called "wiring".
If the connecting cables are used to carry electricity, they are called power cables; if they carry information and data via electromagnetic fields, they are called telecommunications cables.
But how are connecting cables made?
- Wires made of conductive material:
In order to fulfil their function, the Connecting Cables contain a series of conducting wires (made of copper or other metals), which provide great flexibility in addition to the transmission of current and/or signals. The thickness of the conductor wires varies depending on the current carrying capacity and the resistance to mechanical stresses that the cables must withstand. - Insulating section:
The conducting wires are covered by an insulating protection which isolates the passage of current, which thus remains confined to the metal wires. The insulating section is generally made of PVC. - Connector:
Depending on the devices or points to be connected, it is clear that each cable will have specific connectors which vary from cable to cable.
As jumper cables are widely used, even in simple, everyday operations, it is important to ensure that they always meet certain safety criteria and are able to prevent any electrical hazards.
How connecting cables work
Knowing how jumper cables work is very useful, as this is the only way to ensure that you can both wire correctly and buy the right cable when you need it for a particular device.
Connecting cables play an important role, because if they are used correctly, they guarantee safe and functional wiring.
To understand how they work, you first need to understand how the electrical current flows through the cable to get from one point to another.
The electrical current within a system is formed by a flow of electrical charges: when we insert the plug of a connecting cable into a socket, be it a wall socket or an outlet of a system, a flow of current also begins to circulate within the cable. This current flow enables a device or appliance to function.
At this point, it is also worth mentioning the importance of the insulating material: the insulating material that covers the connection cables insulates (as the term itself suggests) the passage of the current, which in this way does not disperse into the environment and, above all, is not in contact with things and people.
It is essential to ensure that the connecting cables are perfectly insulated and that there are no eroded areas without insulating material.
In addition, when working with connecting cables, particular attention must be paid to the installation of all physical connections: these must be easily accessible and above all stable, i.e. difficult to loosen accidentally, otherwise the wiring will be compromised.
Areas of use for Connecting Cables
The areas of use for patch cords are varied.
Each cable has specific characteristics that determine its function and use.
Consequently, each cable should be chosen according to its specific properties and the type of wiring to be carried out, without forgetting to comply with safety standards and product quality.
Listing all the areas of use for adapters is not easy, as they are currently used in a wide range of contexts, from the most technical and sectoral to domestic and amateur contexts.
In any case, let us try to list the most common areas of use
- Domestic environment:
Computers, cars, televisions and many other devices are set up to be connected to equipment or components that allow the diffusion and transmission of signals. Connecting an MP3 player to a car radio, for example, would be impossible without a suitable connecting cable. - Working environment:
Connecting cables are also widely used in offices, banks and shops. Wherever there is a computer with a case and screen, there is a need for a connection between the two devices, which is only possible with the right cables. - Leisure and entertainment environments:The same applies to all event-related contexts where televisions, computers, projectors, etc. are indispensable.
From this list it is clear that Connecting Cables are used in many different areas, so it is always advisable to know their characteristics and basic functions.
Types of Connecting Cables
It is possible to distinguish different types of Connecting Cables, classified according to their specific characteristics and use.
Before listing the most common ones, let's start by saying that, in general, connection cables are composed of a connector and a socket that can be:
male/female
male/male
female/female
Some of them have screws that better ensure the seal, making it much more stable and making the connection resistant to shocks and vibrations.
Some of the main connection cables are listed below:
- Mini-DIN cable:
These cables are classified according to the number of poles. The 6-pin mini-DIN cables, for example, are ideal for connecting the keyboard to the p/s2 port of the PC.
- DB9 Serial Cable:
The name is due to the fact that the metal shield looks like a letter D. This cable is mainly used for computer connections.
- USB 2.0 Cable:
One of the most common cables, used for connecting many peripherals and devices (cameras, joysticks, chargers, etc.).
- USB panel cable:
A special cable that allows attachment, with or without screws, to the surface of a panel.
As always, when using these accessories, it is essential to ensure that they have been manufactured in accordance with all safety standards and regulations and that there is no damage or injury. This is necessary both for optimal wiring and for safe operation.
